This week’s CT Friday Fab 3 is brought to you by Susan Montgomery Smith and Janie Verhines Davie from the Class of 1962.
1. Mrs. Newman’s Family and Consumer Science students at Cape Central High are doing their part to fight hunger. Students recently packed servings of Chicken Fried Rice into containers and delivered them to a local food pantry to support families in need.
2. Cape Girardeau Public Schools has been awarded the Local Food for Schools grant. The district received $6,000 to purchase locally grown foods, allowing us to provide students with even more fresh and healthy meal options.
3. The Cape Girardeau Public Schools Foundation has awarded more than $20,000 in innovative teaching and learning grants to enhance educational opportunities across the district. Eight programs will benefit from these grants, thanks to the generosity of Foundation supporters.
